So most people will say that the current landscape of college football is essentially the Wild West with starters threatening to transfer if they do not receive 7 figure NIL deals and tampering being all but evident in nearly all cases. Now, freshmen and sophomores are transferring after already securing a bag during the recruitment process.

Feb 13, 2024 · One cool feature that I would like to see if a Transfer Portal rumor mill: Rumors throughout the year about players who may or may not enter the portal after the season. You can put points toward these players weekly at the risk of them not even entering the portal. Upside being you can have a headstart if they do enter.

It sucks for the non power conference teams, but college football was the most balanced it's been in awhile because of the transfer portal and NIL. This last season there were many different teams high up in the rankings who usually aren't there.

Jan 14, 2022 · From what I understand, only coaches and programs can view the transfer portal. The reason all of these sources report who is in it is because they somehow have access to it, most likely via someone giving them login info.

The transfer portal is outrageous but also…college football has always been outrageous. Champions used to be decided by the media, and then a computer algorithm. Teams like Clemson ran obvious pay-for-play schemes while others didn’t. The wildly unbalanced non-conference scheduling.

Dec 23, 2021 · There are definitely issues with the transfer portal, but it at least keeps coaches and schools from monopolizing all the power in college sports. If the transfer portal changes, it should only be because they find ways to address coaches leaving with games still left to play, schools actually committing to long-term scholarships, etc.
