I have 2 sheets of 3/4" ($69.99 ea.) and 5 sheets of 1/2" ($49.99 ea.) coming next week. I plan to keep this boat forever so I went with the good stuff.

Aug 19, 2011 · Re: "sealing" a new wood floor in a aluminum boat That tubing will work very well, just run a ledger angle on both sides of your stringer like you have on the perimeter and rivet your tubing to both angles on each side for your framing. 24" centers should be ok with 3/4" ply and 16" centers for 1/2".

I used 3/4 " plywood to make fitted floor panels between the seats. The edges oof the floor were cut so that they rested on the ribs that ran across the inside botoom of the boat.
