Aug 16, 2007 · I’ve decided to go for a power amp, preamp (with the pass through) and cheaper AVR. idea is that the setup will give me excellent music and I can swap out the AVR when new formats come along at little cost. So far Ive got the Denon 4500 (got it Feb before 4700) and a second hand bryston 9bst Power amp. The Denon is only tolerable for music.
