Agapanthia villosoviridescens, also known as the golden-bloomed grey longhorn beetle, [1] is a species of beetle in the subfamily Lamiinae, found in the Caucasus, Europe, Kazakhstan, the Near East, Russia and Turkey.

These impressive longhorn beetles live up to the name, with incredibly long antennae that are striped black and grey. They're found in wet grasslands, woodland rides and edges, and road verges, where there are plenty of lush herbs.

Common and widespread in central and eastern England but not the far south or west. Absent from Wales and Scotland. Common in Nottinghamshire and at Netherfield Lagoons. May to June.

Many are drab black, gray, or brown, while others mimic wasps with banded patterns of black and yellow or orange or have other colors. The larvae are pale and grublike and are found inside wood or other plants.
