
HMS Centaur - Naval Art Prints
HMS Centaur was the only ship of the class to be completed to the original 1943 design. She served in the Royal Navy until 1965 and used for five years as an accommodation ship, she was sold and broken up in 1972. Scrapped 19th July 1972.

HMS Centaur (R06) was a light fleet carrier of the Centaur class, built by Harland & Wolff. She was launched on the 22 April 1947 and commissioned on the 1 September 1953. She was 736 feet long, with a standard displacement of over 20,000 tons and a top speed of 27 knots.
