Pat Butcher (also Wicks, Evans [1] [2] and Harris) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She was played by Pam St Clement from 12 June 1986, just over a year after the show first aired, until her departure on 1 January 2012.

Pat is relieved to discover that, for once, a man wants something from her other than sex. In November 1995, Roy moves in with Pat, but on Christmas Day Frank returns to reclaim his wife. Pat finds it hard to contain her rage and emotion upon seeing her estranged husband but, despite him stirring up old feelings, she opts to remain with Roy.

Jan 22, 2022 · Recently she has name-dropped Pat a few times - more so because yes, she was always annoyed and irritated by Pat and her involvement in Janine's life but also she did grow to love her very much (remember Janine by Pat's death-bed all those years go?), and the name-dropping shows that Pat is still very much on Janine's mind (in a good and bad way).

Feb 15, 2024 · Pat is sadly missed from the square. She wasn't there for when Peggy died (other than via ghost), she would have hated Cindy's return, got along with Mick really well, help to ground Janine, support Whitney and Denise. The actress is still going strong as well, it's a shame.
