Red Rock Canyon features a one-way 13-mile scenic drive, a Visitor Center offering information and interpretation about recreation opportunities, hiking and trails, wildlife, vegetation, geology, cultural resources and much more.

From the parking locations there are 21 different trails to explore the peak tops, rolling sandstone ridges, steep walled canyons which highlight special wildlife, vegetation, and cultural history. Reservations are required October 1 to May 31, 8 am- 5 pm.

Beginning October 1, 2023, the Bureau of Land Management requires Timed Reservations for vehicle entry to the Scenic Drive between 8am and 5pm through May 31, 2024.

On November 3, 2020, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (RRCNCA) implemented a timed entry system to improve access, the visitor experience and to better protect natural and cultural resources.

Picnic areas, cycling, hiking, climbing and horseback riding are available throughout the NCA. The visitor center contains historical and geological exhibits, a cactus garden and a bookstore. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area is open daily from 6am - dusk; fee area.

This tower is the tallest observation tower in a public park in the Midwest. The observation deck measures 106 feet tall with 170 steps to the top. It also has the longest continuous fiberglass staircase in the world.
