The post simply indicates that perhaps Cook isn't really into cars. It doesn't take the CEO of a $2T company to aspire to something grander than a lower-tier 5-series as far less wealthy people own, and comfortably afford, something more expensive.

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago. I sent an email to Tim Cook about how bad Apple CarPlay was and how it kept disconnecting and nobody at Honda or Apple Support could help.
