Welcome - Polavaram Project Authority
Government of Andhra Pradesh, Water Resources Department is the Executing Agency for Polavaram Irrigation Project (PIP) on behalf of Govt. of India. The PIP is being looked after by the Chief Engineer, PIP, WRD while the LA and R&R Works are being looked after by the Special Commissioner (R&R).

Polavaram Irrigation Project is a multi-purpose project on river Godavari near Ramayyapeta village of Polavaram mandal about 42 km upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage, where river emerges out of last range of the Eastern Ghats and enters the plains in East and West Godavari Districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The Polavaram Irrigation Project is on the river Godavari near Ramayyapeta village of Polavaram Mandal, about 34 km upstream of Kovvur-Rajahmundry road-cum-rail bridge and 42 km upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage, where river emerges out of the last range of the Eastern Ghats and enters the plains in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh.
