Jun 29, 2023 · I have a Denon X4700h that I purchased in September 2020. It has been an amazing unit, running my 5.1.2 setup flawlessly since I bought it. However about a month ago it did an update overnight, when I came downstairs in the morning the unit was displaying a message to say update failed 3300. The unit said to unplug it and then plug back in.

Apr 10, 2013 · With the AVR-X4700 (and all of 2020 series Denon AVRs) you can only turn off the amp for the front channels, or all the channels. So when in stereo mode listening to music, the AVR amps would be completely off and only pre-out working.

1. Nov 20, 2021. #1. My X4700H doesn't have any turning on/off thumps/pops in 11.1 channel amp assign mode with 5.1.4 plus TS setup. It's totally silent. This is my preset 1. For preset 2, I have pre-amp amp assign mode with 5 floor speakers plus one Sub. I notice the tuning on/off thumps in this setup. It's no too loud.
