Aug 18, 2007 · Sublimation ink is a gel. not a liquid. the prints always look 'faded' it is the heat process that brings out the image quality as the gel converts to gas to enter the pores of the polyester that only open under great heat and when cooling shut again to lock in the colour in each micro fibre.

Jan 20, 2020 · Take all the ink out with a syringe - you will be able to get one from your ink supplier. Run some nozzle cleaner through the system until the ink lines are clean of ink. You will need to waste a few sheets of regular paper and some sub ink by printing a half dozen test prints before you sub.

May 26, 2017 · You should get a transfer if you have sublimation ink, sublimation transfer paper and you press to the correct side of the paper (the bright side) and then press (400 F for about a minute). I have never failed to get an image transfer. I use Cobra dye sublimation ink and TextPrint-R paper (which is indeed sublimation paper).

When my printer prints, the colors, black or green or anything that needs dark it comes out looking correct but when I go to press the sublimation to polyester. It’s all bright colors yellows & reds.

Then there is the guy doing all sorts of weird color adjustments to tweak his so called ICC profile which obviously doesn't work all that well. Richard has 20+ years experience formulating sublimation ink for Epson Printers. He knows his stuff, he really does.
