Oct 5, 2022 · While the benefit to the CPU isn't huge compared to a good air or AIO cooler, water-cooling a GPU can boost performance without any tweaking. I haven't water-cooled my 3080, but my 2080 on a bitspower block never went above 60, the boost clocks were consistently higher (by a little), AND the system was quieter.

Aug 30, 2022 · If you get a 2nd, loose, temperature sensor (the quadro comes with one, I think), you can measure the air-water delta to compensate for any fluctuations in room temperature. It may take a bit of tweaking, but you should be able to get your fans to idle when your PC is idle, regardless of room temps.

Oct 19, 2022 · For moving get an empty DI water jug and drain the fluid into that. Move the PC, check all the tubs, refill from same fluid. Unless you just extend the 1st year fluid by 3 months then drain, flush and fill during the move. Drain at old place, flush and fill at new place.

Feb 14, 2022 · Water cooling is recommended for the 12900k, yes. Your standard AIO will not require maintenance, no. It does have a shelf life, insofar as the pump will fail one day or too much liquid will evaporate for it to remain effective. The risk of an AIO leaking and blowing up your system is very, very low, but not zero.

Usually, my water temp is below 35c if my ambient temp is about 20c or lower. On warm days (23-25c), it is more like 38-40c. ~15c delta is normal for quiet fan operation (<1200rpm fan speed) for a 2-3x 360 high tdp system (>600w avg under load) with at least good case airflow. 12c is a really well optimized system (<1200rpm).
