It’s foxglove season! No, it’s actually not. But I started annual foxgloves in June for a September harvest. I love pushing the boundaries and it’s been delightful having foxgloves this September. Here’s my variety recommendations: - Camelot cream (cream with burgundy speckles) - Camelot lavender (the most beautifulest lavender) - Dalmatian peach (the perfect peach) Now if I had to choose one I’d grow only Camelot cream for fall! | Local Harvest Flowers

Annual foxgloves have my heart. The annual varieties come in the best colors and the perennial ones just can’t compete in that department. In an ideal world all foxgloves would be perennial because they are such a pain in the butt to sow and germination rates can be spotty. I started mine in March in a heated greenhouse (20-25C) and soaked the trays before scatter seeding on the surface of the soil.
