There are concerns response times to fire emergencies could blow out with 30 fire stations across the state set to temporarily close. Fire and Rescue New South Wales is proposing the closures to the Industrial Relations Commission, blaming staff shortages and insufficient resources. South Wales Fire Service is dealing with a fire on Rover Way, Cardiff, and there are reports of long traffic delays for drivers in the area, heading both into and out of the capital.
