The first activity on my list was the ‘Āmiki Cultural Food Tours’ lunch time ‘Kai Bites’. It’s a rich cultural experience that blends Māori tradition with local food. I learnt so many things today about the culture and the history of Christchurch. It was truly a fascinating and beautiful tour with lots of laughs and a very relaxed and easy going flow to it. I highly recommend doing one of their tours you get so much information and eat food that made by the locals and it’s DELICIOUS. My top pick

The Golden Moko: Eyes of the Ancestors” A dual-bodied Moko Jumbie portrayal of protection and ancestral power — lightning energy meeting earthly vessel. Wrapped in golden ancestral code, crowned by the eternal realm, and shielded by sweeping raffia, this living symbol reconnects the present world to the village of our ancestors. Not just a performance… an activation. Portrayed & Designed by: Adrian Young Title: King of Carnival Portrayal Stilt Height: 6 ft Total Height: approx. 19.8 ft high
