Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the sole survivor of the Air India plane crash, bid an emotional farewell to his brother Ajay who was on the same flight. Ajay’s funeral was held in the brothers’ hometown of Diu, around 371km (230 miles) from Ahmedabad, where the crash occurred. Mr Ramesh, who was injured in the crash, was seen participating in the funeral despite requests from relatives who asked him to take rest. The family of the sole survivor of yesterday’s London-bound Air India crash have spoken of their ‘utter shock’. Briton Vishwash Kumar Ramesh was returning to the UK when the plane crashed into a building shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad. He is being treated in hospital, but the family have not been able to contact his brother, Ajay, who was also believed to be on board.
