Day 5: 24 days of Thinktank exhibits. Meet the Railton Mobil Special. Designed by British engineer Reid Railton and driven by John Cobb, this car didn’t just break the land-speed record… it obliterated it. Powered by two Napier Lion aero engines, it roared to: 350 mph (1938) ➡️ 370 mph (1939) ➡️ 394 mph (1947). On the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1947, it set a world land-speed record of 394.19 mph (634.39 km/h) - and to this day, it remains the fastest piston-engined, wheel-driven car ever official

Day 4: 24 days of Thinktank exhibits. Today we share this tin-foil chocolate-wrapping machine, manufactured in Birmingham and used at Cadbury’s Bournville factory after 1918. It represents a significant step in automating chocolate production. Prior to its introduction, chocolates were wrapped entirely by hand. This machine operated at 60 wraps per minute; any guesses as to how many chocolates are wrapped per minute on the current machines? You can see this machine in person, in the 'We Made It
