On Jan. 23, hundreds of businesses across Minnesota were closed for a one-day strike and economic blackout in response to the federal ICE operation in Minnesota and the killing of Renee Macklin Good. The strike was organized by Minnesota faith leaders and endorsed Minnesota labor leaders including Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation and the Minnesota AFL-CIO.
